05th December 2010
I am delighted to report that Ian Sudall, the President of the Blackburn and District Camera Club, invited me along on the evening of 30th November to give a Speaker Evening talk and presentation to Club members and those who wished to attend from neighbouring Clubs.

The organisation of the evening and the hospitality I received were superb and I was greeted by a most enthusiastic and friendly set of photographers.

Sincere thanks to Ian, Andy Phillips and all other Committee members and to all who braved the icey sub-zero conditions to attend my talk.

We escaped from the depths of winter in the first 90 minute session by exploring 60 of my travel images from around the World. After tea/coffee I presented a further 60 images of the Lake District through the seasons, taken over the last 3 years. I included 10 images of winter sunsets by the River Kent estuary, this location being an excellent final stopping off point on a return trip from the Lakes back to Lancashire.

This Camera Club is a friendly and progressive organisation with a most impressive enrolment record. It clearly responds to the needs of the beginner enthusiasts, all the way up to the experienced life long photographers who remember the days of the darkroom!

Once again Blackburn & District CC, many thanks for the opportunity. I had a most enjoyable evening, sharing my passion for photography with such an enthusiastic crowd.

Photo comment By Lynda McIntyre: Thoroughly enjoyed your talk Adrian, all your images are stunning. Very inspiring and informative.
Photo comment By Andy Phillips: I noted whilst you were talking to the members and showing them what you have done that there was a profound silence (Of respect)I also noted at the end the tremendous applause and clapping you on the back in appreciation.
